It is always memorable when I meet a baby as cooperative and delightful as 10 day old Aiden. We captured such a huge variety of amazing photographs that I know his parents will have a hard time narrowing down their favorites. I still cannot get over how handsome he is, mom and dad certainly have someone to be proud of!

Sasha is back {Fresno CA Professional Baby Photographer}

The past six months since I last saw Sasha just flew by! She was a wee newborn in July when I first photographed her. She was full of smiles then, and I was delighted to see that she is still just as happy as can be, making her an absolute joy to photograph. You may notice that I have included more images than usual in her sneak peek. We captured so many fabulous photos together that I could not contain myself!

I have quite a few re-purposed antique and handmade props that I am showcasing in 2011, and Sasha is proudly modeling a few of them here. I have an antique highchair that is perfect for sitting babies, a vintage baby bonnet that is as soft as can be and the yellow rice bucket that I am sure to find many ways to photograph. These, along with several more hats, baskets and other fun vintage finds have found their way into my baby prop collection, all of which I hope to show off throughout the year, so stay tuned.

Baby Lizette {Fresno Newborn Photographer}

Lizette’s photo session was a rare treat. Dad made a special vegetarian lunch for us which I thoroughly enjoyed. And once we got little Lizette into her deep sleep we were able to create some amazing images together. Thank you Mom and Dad, you are truly blessed.

Neighborhood Magic Show

Yesterday, as I was sitting at my computer putting the finishing touches on my new website, I received an invitation from some of the neighborhood girls to attend a magic show they created. I was delighted for the opportunity to take a break and watch some impromptu child creativity. It was a wonderful treat on a dreary rainy Sunday. With less than 2 hours notice, several of the households showed up making it standing room only in the common house play room, and the girls were so exited.

The magic show was the perfect example of what it is like living here in Fresno Cohousing, what we like to call a “Cohousing moment”. A neighborhood where everyone knows each other, we have meals together, help one another, and find fun ways of getting together, even at the drop of a hat; all this, and having the support of a thriving community to live an eco-friendly lifestyle. Several of the friendships I have fostered while living here have been priceless! All I can say is that my last year and a half here has been a real treasure.

Introducing little Emily Anne at 9 days old. She is the second baby girl I have photographed for this family. It was mom’s idea to use the stack of beautifully handmade blankets family and friends have made for the girls. What a precious image we captured, with her little sweet smile on the colorful blankets. Congratulations Mom and Dad on the birth of your newest little angel!

A Marin Delight {California Professional Family Photography}

Meet 1 year old Anastasia and her parents. I had a wonderful time with this family last weekend in Marin. Stasia and I share our birth date, and she turned 1 year just a couple of weeks ago. Their home is a true dream for a natural light photographer with huge floor to ceiling windows flooding the house with the most beautiful soft light; I was in heaven. Great light, an exquisite home for the background, and charming subjects make for AMAZING photos!

Thank you Mom and Dad for the opportunity to create these memories for your family. You were wonderful hosts and subjects.

There is No Place Like Home

It was a big year for this growing family. Sweetie Charlotte was born, they built their beautiful home, and now they are living their dream. So we decided it was fitting to take pictures this year in front of their new home to commemorate this event. Congratulations Mom, Dad, Taylor and Charlotte for a wonderful year!

Introducing Owen on his third day of life. Typically, the earliest I will photograph a newborn is 5 days old, to give mom’s milk a chance to come in. But Owen decided to come a few days late, and because of my schedule, we choose to go ahead and do the session on our original date. He was wonderful to photograph, so cooperative and sweet, although he had a mind of his own when it came to his hands. What precious memories we were able to capture of one of the youngest babies I have had the privilege to photograph. Thank you little Owen for being such a dream to work with!

Introducing Sasha

I have been a bit behind on all my computer work due to the fact that I have had two very special guests at my house for the last week. My two nieces from Washington DC have blessed me by spending the remainder of their summer with me. The girls are 5 and 12 years old, and bring with them lots of activity and a demand for my attention. How do you mom’s juggle everything? Whew! I had hopeful thoughts that I would be able to work on the computer while they are here, but I have hardly found time to do so… I have two more photo sessions after this one to post later on this week along with pictures of the girls. For now, we are packing to leave to the coast for a few days.

Thank you mom and dad for your generous patience. I know we took these images almost two weeks ago. So without further delay, please meet 5 day old Sasha and her two year old sister Samantha. What truly special moments we were able to capture together. Sasha was so cooperative, and even gave us few smiles. And we were even fortunate enough to get some great moments with her toddler sister. I hope you are thrilled so far! Enjoy.

Little Avery

It is always such a joy for me to be invited back into the homes of families as new members are welcomed into their lives. Meet 9 week old Avery, an incredibly beautiful baby girl. She is the second baby I have photographed for this couple. Her big brother Carson is the one that has graced the front of my business card for over three years. What a delight it was to see them all again! Congratulations Mom and Dad.
