A Big Thank You {Fresno Photography}

Meet Catalina and Ivan, my neighbors, friends and my two favorite Colombian’s. Somehow our paths were lucky enough to cross here in Fresno, as we have had the bounty of living next door to each other for the last 18 months. Our common love for animals, the environment, interest in people, traveling, the arts and good conversation has allowed us to form a friendship which I hope will last a lifetime. We have plans of traveling the world together. Our first stop will be New York City, hopefully this fall, where they lived for years. Then they will be my Spanish speaking guides as we traverse South America together in the future. We will see where life takes us, but in the meantime, they are the two special people I will be entrusting my feline friend, Keiko, to while I am on my upcoming journey to Australia and New Zealand.

While looking for a special way to thank them for caring for my kitty for two months, I noticed that their home had a lack of photos of them. Not a single one on display? So my special gift to them was to share my talent, capturing their relationship and their time in the Central Valley. So here is a sneak peek of this very sweet Colombian couple who has graced my life with many blessings. Thank you Ivan and Catalina, for everything.

A Perfect 10! {California Newborn Baby Pictures}

I could not be more excited to show off 8 day old Ryker’s photographs. He clearly rates at the top of my scale for being one of the most cooperative newborn babies. He was so easygoing that I could pose him in whatever position I wanted, a true dream come true for a newborn photographer. I took full advantage of his sweet nature capturing some of my new absolute favorite images with him. He even gave us a whole series of smiles, smirks and yawns that just melt my heart and make me giggle.

Sasha is back {Fresno CA Professional Baby Photographer}

The past six months since I last saw Sasha just flew by! She was a wee newborn in July when I first photographed her. She was full of smiles then, and I was delighted to see that she is still just as happy as can be, making her an absolute joy to photograph. You may notice that I have included more images than usual in her sneak peek. We captured so many fabulous photos together that I could not contain myself!

I have quite a few re-purposed antique and handmade props that I am showcasing in 2011, and Sasha is proudly modeling a few of them here. I have an antique highchair that is perfect for sitting babies, a vintage baby bonnet that is as soft as can be and the yellow rice bucket that I am sure to find many ways to photograph. These, along with several more hats, baskets and other fun vintage finds have found their way into my baby prop collection, all of which I hope to show off throughout the year, so stay tuned.

Baby Lizette {Fresno Newborn Photographer}

Lizette’s photo session was a rare treat. Dad made a special vegetarian lunch for us which I thoroughly enjoyed. And once we got little Lizette into her deep sleep we were able to create some amazing images together. Thank you Mom and Dad, you are truly blessed.

I am back, catching up on all my blog posts for the remainder of my December sessions.

I was so looking forward to photographing little miss Alyssa ever since meeting her parents at their maternity session, and she lived up to every bit of my anticipation! Here she is on day 13 allowing me to get some fantastic pictures of her. To my surprise, she looks so much like Dad. I know she is a blessing for all of the family. Congratulations!

Stunning {California Maternity Photography}

This gorgeous couple was a rare treat to work with. Mainly because this soon to be mother has modeled in the past. She has a natural level of comfort in front of the camera which made my job so easy. She knew she wanted artistic black and white images, allowing me the freedom to get creative and capture some unique portraits and poses. It seems like every single image from their session was stunning, I just had to close my eyes and point to choose which ones to preview on the blog!

Ethan has grown

Meet Ethan, a repeat performer in-front of my camera. I first photographed him as a newborn last September and was delighted to come back and see how big he has grown. Next to newborns, newly sitting babies are my favorite to photograph, they show off their personality and are a blast to be around. Ethan did not disappoint, I fell in love with his amazing baby blues, his smile with those two lower teeth showing through, and his sweet demeanor. It was a pleasure as usual mom and dad, Ethan is so fortunate to have you both.

Fields, and tractors and horses, oh my!

On a magical spring morning last week, I had the opportunity to take a drive through the countryside to visit these soon to be parents. Mom did not seem to be daunted one bit by the fact that she is only a couple weeks away from having her little girl. She is active, happy, and of course beautiful. Dad surprised me with his personality, wanting to be fully involved in the creation process of these images, as well as keeping me smiling all session long. I left their home with tears in my eyes, partially from laughing so hard, but also from what I think is the first sign of allergies?

We took photos all around their house, both inside and out. I am excited to share with you just a few of the most unique ones I have done at a maternity session. I love embracing the personality of a couple, and I have a feeling that these photos in the field are uniquely them! Even their nursery is decorated with a cowgirl theme.

The horse pictured is one of two that they had. The second wanted to be right in the action as well. I have not been around horses for a long time, when I was in high school (more than 15 years ago) I ‘attempted’ to ride one, and haven’t tried since. Needless to say, I had to reacquaint myself with this majestic animal. I was a bit nervous at first, but quickly became comfortable.

Imagine me leaning against a large mule behind me, pushing him out of the way with my back, just so I can take a picture, it was all quite comical. If there was a time to get a wide shot of me taking photos during a session, this would be it! To make things even more interesting, their paint horse was showing an unusual amount of interest in mom’s baby bump, and would bite dad’s hand every time he tried to touch her belly.

Congrats Mom and Dad, I am sure we will have even more fun photographing your little girl in a week or two!

Meet Sidney and Berkeley, two sweet black labs with their loving parents. The labs are a big part of this family, which is about to expand to include baby brother soon. Congratulations mom and dad, your long wait is just about over!

Meet this 7 day old brother and sister team, beautiful Logan and Cara. They were proudly carried to full term, and are a set of healthy and quite content newborn twins. Cara snuggled right into Logan when I set her into the basket, making them fit together like a perfect puzzle.
