A Perfect 10! {California Newborn Baby Pictures}

I could not be more excited to show off 8 day old Ryker’s photographs. He clearly rates at the top of my scale for being one of the most cooperative newborn babies. He was so easygoing that I could pose him in whatever position I wanted, a true dream come true for a newborn photographer. I took full advantage of his sweet nature capturing some of my new absolute favorite images with him. He even gave us a whole series of smiles, smirks and yawns that just melt my heart and make me giggle.

Charlotte turns One! {Fresno Childhood Pictures}

It has been a great privilege and joy to follow both of these beautiful sisters since birth. This session was to celebrate Charlotte’s first year, and although she was at the tail end of battling a cold, she still photographed as cute as ever.

Happy belated Birthday Charlotte, I cannot wait for next time!

Growing Family {Fresno baby and toddler photographer}

I have had the honor of photographing both 2 1/2-year-old Audrey and 11-month-old Braylen as sweet little newborns. Now they are growing fast and it was time for a family session. Instead of me traveling to the Bay Area to see them, they decided to come down to Fresno. The opportunity to host this amazing family was so much fun, and we got to take advantage of the beautiful morning light inside, the bright sunny day in the park and even the golden sunset in the evening. I included a few bonus images in this sneak peek just for Mom (and the fact I could not resist showing you all the cuteness we captured together). Enjoy!

Neighborhood Magic Show

Yesterday, as I was sitting at my computer putting the finishing touches on my new website, I received an invitation from some of the neighborhood girls to attend a magic show they created. I was delighted for the opportunity to take a break and watch some impromptu child creativity. It was a wonderful treat on a dreary rainy Sunday. With less than 2 hours notice, several of the households showed up making it standing room only in the common house play room, and the girls were so exited.

The magic show was the perfect example of what it is like living here in Fresno Cohousing, what we like to call a “Cohousing moment”. A neighborhood where everyone knows each other, we have meals together, help one another, and find fun ways of getting together, even at the drop of a hat; all this, and having the support of a thriving community to live an eco-friendly lifestyle. Several of the friendships I have fostered while living here have been priceless! All I can say is that my last year and a half here has been a real treasure.

Miss Mila {Fresno Baby Photographer}

What a joy it was to photograph 13 day old Mila. She is 6th child, but only the second girl for this family. She has such a calm, sweet disposition in a house full of lively energy. I could not have asked for a more perfect baby to photograph. I even got to try out my new wooden bowl, which she gave me a giant smile in. Congratulations everyone!!!

Stunning {California Maternity Photography}

This gorgeous couple was a rare treat to work with. Mainly because this soon to be mother has modeled in the past. She has a natural level of comfort in front of the camera which made my job so easy. She knew she wanted artistic black and white images, allowing me the freedom to get creative and capture some unique portraits and poses. It seems like every single image from their session was stunning, I just had to close my eyes and point to choose which ones to preview on the blog!

A Special Gift

I have been extremely busy lately. But to my surprise, it is with maternity sessions?! I did a string of four belly photo shoots in just a couple of days. I by far do many more babies and children than maternity, but getting belly photos is becoming more and more popular these days.

This first time mommy took these images as a surprise gift for her husband who is currently overseas. I am not sure how long it will remain a surprise now that she is on my blog! I of course posted the pictures with her permission. Congratulations Mommy.

Lovely Lauren

Here is sweet Lauren at 7 months old. I photographed her when she was a smiling newborn earlier this year, and I was so delighted to see her getting so big. I have kindled a great friendship with her parents, and I can say first hand she comes from a household of laughter. She is surly going to grow up with a great sense of humor and shining personality!

My adventure continued this week when I drove north to Sonoma County to photograph newborn Sammy. Here he is at day 7 in all his cuteness. A sweet spirit born to a very deserving family. Congratulations Mom, Dad and big brother Joey, I am certain Sammy will add so much to your already wonderful home.

What a difference an ounce makes!

I love what I do. I get to spend time with growing families, capturing their irreplaceable moments, getting to know them and oftentimes making new friends. What a gift these last few years has been to me. In addition to all the other bounties that comes with my career, I also get my much needed baby cuddling time in, as with this little one.

Meet baby Sofia, on her 21st day of life. She began our session a little restless (as expected with her being an ‘older’ newborn) but quickly calmed down after mom topped her off with that last ounce of milk. She slept for the remainder of the session, and was still crashed when I left. What an amazingly beautiful baby girl she is! I love her sweet grin, beautifully shaped eyes, and full head of hair. And take a look at that little whispy curl on top of her head, it makes me smile every time I see it.

She truly made my day in a big way. After we finished photographing, her Mom let me sit and cuddle with Sofia while we talked for awhile. It is moments like that, sitting peacefully on the couch while enjoying a sleeping cuddly baby in my arms, that satisfy my longing to have one of my own. Thank you little Sofia, you are a special little girl that I feel honored to have met!
