Kaila has arrived

The last few weeks as been unbelievably busy for me, hence my slight absence from the blog. I have packed up my entire house and office and moved everything last weekend with the help of some wonderful friends. I have also been working hard on finishing up my last photo sessions before I leave on Sunday, all this among planning and packing for my big trip to Australia and New Zealand. The anticipation of my two month journey has that old song “Land Down Under” by Men at Work going through my head all day long. I cannot wait to share my adventures as I am having them right here on the blog.

In the meantime I would like to introduce the world to 13 day old Kaila. She is the beautiful daughter of the amazing couple I photographed last Valentines day. I teared up the moment I first saw her as she is just sweet perfection at it’s best. Kaila is modeling the cutest crochet headband and purple pixie hat by my Etsy friend at Just Hats.

Girl Power {Fresno Child and Family Photography}

I was delighted to get a phone call from my Pismo Beach neighbor that I befriended while living on the Central Coast. Mom had good news that she was coming to Fresno for a weekend visit and wanted me to capture family pictures of her and the girls while they were here. Seeing the three of them on such a beautiful Saturday afternoon was a real treat, Miranda (9) was just as sweet and easy going as I remember, and Madison (3) was more energetic and opinionated than ever before.

Keeping a busy three year old’s attention while trying to get natural smiles from her is not the easiest thing in the world. We had to act fast, give her breaks, and be quite silly to keep Madison entertained. In the end the girls enjoyed it so much they are looking forward to next time. The resulting images capture a slice of their childhood that I am sure will bring back fond memories as they grow older.

It is always memorable when I meet a baby as cooperative and delightful as 10 day old Aiden. We captured such a huge variety of amazing photographs that I know his parents will have a hard time narrowing down their favorites. I still cannot get over how handsome he is, mom and dad certainly have someone to be proud of!

I am fortunate enough to meet new families each week, many of which quickly find their way into my heart. I felt like old friends upon meeting this expecting couple at their maternity session. We spent a great deal of time together creating beautiful images of the culmination of their love. I look forward to meeting their little bundle when she arrives next month.

What a joy it was to photograph 13 day old Mila. She is 6th child, but only the second girl for this family. She has such a calm, sweet disposition in a house full of lively energy. I could not have asked for a more perfect baby to photograph. I even got to try out my new wooden bowl, which she gave me a giant smile in. Congratulations everyone!!!

Little Dylan {Lemoore Newborn Photographer}

Meet 12 day old Dylan. He surprised everyone by arriving two weeks early. He was supposed to be my first baby of the year, but instead we took his pictures right after Christmas. He was wonderful to work with, and allowed us to get so many wonderful newborn images of him. Although I think he looks a lot like Dad, but I can clearly see Mom too, making him a very handsome mix of his stunning parents.

In the second picture Dylan is modeling one of my newest props, a big antique basket. I look forward to showing off all the unique props I have for my sessions in 2011.

I am back, catching up on all my blog posts for the remainder of my December sessions.

I was so looking forward to photographing little miss Alyssa ever since meeting her parents at their maternity session, and she lived up to every bit of my anticipation! Here she is on day 13 allowing me to get some fantastic pictures of her. To my surprise, she looks so much like Dad. I know she is a blessing for all of the family. Congratulations!

Introducing baby Jaden on his 12th day of life. Yet another handsome little boy, just as sweet as can be. Mom and Dad took photographs in the park with me when they were expecting last October, and their maternity images turned out amazing. I am so delighted that we were able to capture even more exceptional images with little Jaden. Congratulations you two!!

Sweet Henry {Fresno Professional Photography}

Baby Henry had his pictorial debut on his 9th day of life. Like many newborns, he spent a good portion of his session awake, not wanting to miss a thing. This allowed us to get quite a few of his big bright eyes open and looking right into the camera. What a handsome little guy he is, and as sweet as can be. Congratulations Mom and Dad!

Budding Star {Fresno Pregnancy Photographer}

This easy going cheerful couple was a pleasure to photograph. They are expecting their first child, a little girl. They had been busy preparing their nursery for a T.V. interview that just took place in their home, about how to make the nursery soothing for both mother and child. The taping was for the show “0-5″ on Valley PBS, and will air in April of next year.

One of the key things is that the child psychologist said is that pictures of the parents in the room also help with parent/child bonding. We photographed the maternity session in time for the show so Mom can hang her pictures in the nursery to exemplify this element. Mom said that the “0-5″ taping went fantastic. I am excited to see it air. Congratulations Mom and Dad, I look forward to meeting your angel.
