Kaila has arrived

The last few weeks as been unbelievably busy for me, hence my slight absence from the blog. I have packed up my entire house and office and moved everything last weekend with the help of some wonderful friends. I have also been working hard on finishing up my last photo sessions before I leave on Sunday, all this among planning and packing for my big trip to Australia and New Zealand. The anticipation of my two month journey has that old song “Land Down Under” by Men at Work going through my head all day long. I cannot wait to share my adventures as I am having them right here on the blog.

In the meantime I would like to introduce the world to 13 day old Kaila. She is the beautiful daughter of the amazing couple I photographed last Valentines day. I teared up the moment I first saw her as she is just sweet perfection at it’s best. Kaila is modeling the cutest crochet headband and purple pixie hat by my Etsy friend at Just Hats.

Henry is Back {Fresno Baby Photography}

I am wrapping up all the little details before I leave on my big trip to Australia and New Zealand for two months. My head is spinning with so much that still needs to be done, I am not only going on a long journey Down Under, but I am also making a big move. Sorting, packing, organizing, packing some more… making sure everything is set before I move on Saturday, and leave on my big trip a week later. It is quite the task, all this while still trying to run my business, photographing a few last sessions before I leave.

Here is 3 1/2 month old Henry showing us how cute he can be with his big smile and sweet looks of curiosity. I photographed him last December as a newborn and he is still O-So-Cute! I look forward to seeing him in all his sweetness when he can proudly sit up on his own. Thank you Mom and Dad for honoring me to capture such special moments for your family!

A Big Thank You {Fresno Photography}

Meet Catalina and Ivan, my neighbors, friends and my two favorite Colombian’s. Somehow our paths were lucky enough to cross here in Fresno, as we have had the bounty of living next door to each other for the last 18 months. Our common love for animals, the environment, interest in people, traveling, the arts and good conversation has allowed us to form a friendship which I hope will last a lifetime. We have plans of traveling the world together. Our first stop will be New York City, hopefully this fall, where they lived for years. Then they will be my Spanish speaking guides as we traverse South America together in the future. We will see where life takes us, but in the meantime, they are the two special people I will be entrusting my feline friend, Keiko, to while I am on my upcoming journey to Australia and New Zealand.

While looking for a special way to thank them for caring for my kitty for two months, I noticed that their home had a lack of photos of them. Not a single one on display? So my special gift to them was to share my talent, capturing their relationship and their time in the Central Valley. So here is a sneak peek of this very sweet Colombian couple who has graced my life with many blessings. Thank you Ivan and Catalina, for everything.

Charlotte turns One! {Fresno Childhood Pictures}

It has been a great privilege and joy to follow both of these beautiful sisters since birth. This session was to celebrate Charlotte’s first year, and although she was at the tail end of battling a cold, she still photographed as cute as ever.

Happy belated Birthday Charlotte, I cannot wait for next time!

Girl Power {Fresno Child and Family Photography}

I was delighted to get a phone call from my Pismo Beach neighbor that I befriended while living on the Central Coast. Mom had good news that she was coming to Fresno for a weekend visit and wanted me to capture family pictures of her and the girls while they were here. Seeing the three of them on such a beautiful Saturday afternoon was a real treat, Miranda (9) was just as sweet and easy going as I remember, and Madison (3) was more energetic and opinionated than ever before.

Keeping a busy three year old’s attention while trying to get natural smiles from her is not the easiest thing in the world. We had to act fast, give her breaks, and be quite silly to keep Madison entertained. In the end the girls enjoyed it so much they are looking forward to next time. The resulting images capture a slice of their childhood that I am sure will bring back fond memories as they grow older.

Growing Family {Fresno baby and toddler photographer}

I have had the honor of photographing both 2 1/2-year-old Audrey and 11-month-old Braylen as sweet little newborns. Now they are growing fast and it was time for a family session. Instead of me traveling to the Bay Area to see them, they decided to come down to Fresno. The opportunity to host this amazing family was so much fun, and we got to take advantage of the beautiful morning light inside, the bright sunny day in the park and even the golden sunset in the evening. I included a few bonus images in this sneak peek just for Mom (and the fact I could not resist showing you all the cuteness we captured together). Enjoy!

Handsome Aiden {Clovis CA Newborn Baby Photographer}

It is always memorable when I meet a baby as cooperative and delightful as 10 day old Aiden. We captured such a huge variety of amazing photographs that I know his parents will have a hard time narrowing down their favorites. I still cannot get over how handsome he is, mom and dad certainly have someone to be proud of!

Sasha is back {Fresno CA Professional Baby Photographer}

The past six months since I last saw Sasha just flew by! She was a wee newborn in July when I first photographed her. She was full of smiles then, and I was delighted to see that she is still just as happy as can be, making her an absolute joy to photograph. You may notice that I have included more images than usual in her sneak peek. We captured so many fabulous photos together that I could not contain myself!

I have quite a few re-purposed antique and handmade props that I am showcasing in 2011, and Sasha is proudly modeling a few of them here. I have an antique highchair that is perfect for sitting babies, a vintage baby bonnet that is as soft as can be and the yellow rice bucket that I am sure to find many ways to photograph. These, along with several more hats, baskets and other fun vintage finds have found their way into my baby prop collection, all of which I hope to show off throughout the year, so stay tuned.

I am fortunate enough to meet new families each week, many of which quickly find their way into my heart. I felt like old friends upon meeting this expecting couple at their maternity session. We spent a great deal of time together creating beautiful images of the culmination of their love. I look forward to meeting their little bundle when she arrives next month.

Baby Lizette {Fresno Newborn Photographer}

Lizette’s photo session was a rare treat. Dad made a special vegetarian lunch for us which I thoroughly enjoyed. And once we got little Lizette into her deep sleep we were able to create some amazing images together. Thank you Mom and Dad, you are truly blessed.
