Here is 1 year old Liam at Pismo Beach with mommy. I first met him as a rolly polly newborn who was almost topping 11 pounds! Now he is a very active and curious little toddler, and I must say, a dream to photograph. I captured so many wonderful images of him exploring the beach independently. Yet my favorites images are the ones that show the bond between him and mommy, as I know these images will be cherished most for years to come.
The morning of our session was quite overcast on the coast, which filters the light beautifully making it ideal for portraits. I choose to put some of these beach images in black and white, emphasizing their timelessness and the bonds between mommy and child. What do you think?
On a side note: It is father’s day weekend and I can hear the roar of the passing classic cars as they drive to the car show at the Pismo Beach pier. I hear the population of our little city is supposed to balloon to untold numbers with the visiting crowd these next two days. I am looking forward to seeing this spectacle during our evening beach walk tonight. Happy Father’s Day everyone.
