Meet 6 day old Gema, the newest beautiful gem to her family. I have been anticipating photographing Gema since the moment I first met her wonderful family back in March, at their maternity session. She spent most of our time together wide awake, not wanting to miss a moment. Our session had many memorable moments and firsts for me, but I feel the most enduring is how engaged daddy is. He made the perfect calming assistant, and I am so thankful for his help.
I was happy to use my newest antique store find for the first time, an old wooden water bucket. I am delighted with how comfortable Gema slept in it, and it photographs beautifully. Looks like a winner!
