Although it took the better part of 2 hours to officially begin photographing 5 day old Lillian, when we finally got started I could not have asked for a more perfect subject. She let me curl her up and pose her in any way I pleased. I moved her around more than I do most babies, and she did not even budge an inch. This image is one of my new favorites, and the wonderful blanket she is laying on was handmade by Grandma. The blanket photographed so well that I asked Grandma if she would make me one… and she accepted! I cannot wait to have one of my very own. What a perfectly sweet image.
Lilly is from the first in my recent series of maternity sessions, that means I have several more babies to look forward to!
